Mohan Bhagwat congratulated Salem Tree club, an NGO working for environmental conservation, which is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.

Let this auspicious occasion enhance the spirit of divine fraternity in us. Let this remind us our duty and responsibility towards making our mother Bharatmata most revered in the world.
In the annual Sangh Shiksha Varg organized in the month of April-May 812 Karyakarta got trained in Karnataka Dakshin.
Currently in 1948 places of our pranth 3100 shaakha, 456 weekly Milan and 534 sangha mandali are running. In Bengaluru 107 milans are running for the IT fraternity.
The training of 30 Vistaraks newly joined after 2014-15 Sangha Shiksha Varg got concluded in Bagalkote. More than 2000 svayamsevaks of Bagalkote city have participated in the valedictory function of this varg, needs a special mention.
In week long Prathamika Shiksha Varg organized at Jilla level during last Dasara vacation season 5555 svayamsevaks participated creating a new record.
It was heartening and inspiring to hear Shree Suryanarayan Rao speaking about life of Late Shree Yadavarao Joshi on the day of his birth centenary (5/9/14) Anantha Chaturdashi day. Shree Yadavarao Joshi was groomed in close association of Doctorji; he built the Sangh activity in Karnataka, guided thousands of loyal sangh workers and gave direction for Sangh work to grow in various dimensions in Karnataka; Shree Suryanarayan Rao himself was groomed in close associated of Shree Yadavarao Joshi.
For the youth who aspire to contribute something for the society and Nation, and to understand Sangh work a two day workshop ‘Samarth Bharata’ was organized at Palace Ground in Bengaluru on August 23-24. Sessions for Sevabasti acitivities, Balasamskara centers, Gramavikasa, Self help groups, Organic Farming, Educational Projects, Water Conservation, Cow Protection, Environment Protection, Cleanliness, Vanavasi Kalyana etc… around 48 topics were organized giving an opportunity to understand and participate in the activities which are interesting to them. As a result 77 youth have come forward to dedicate one year of their time for social cause.
In Karnataka Dakshina in 2807 places of 209 Taluks out of 219, altogether 7482 various seva activities are currently running.
Around 6300 swayamsevaks participated in the Employee Swayamsevak/Karyakarta Bauddhik Varga organized in last November month, addressed by Pa Pu Sarasanghachalak, and as a result many svayamsevaks have become active.
Pa Pu Sarasanghachalak’s interaction with residents and children of Sevabasti in Bengaluru was an unforgettable experience for them.
The 17th Vanavasi Archery competition was successfully organized by Vanavasi Kalyana Ashram at Vagdevi Vilasa School premises in Varthuru, Bengaluru on 26-28 December 2014. Altogether 231 archery sportsperson from 22 pranths of country participated in the event and it is feather in the cap of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram to make such big participation which entered the Golden Book of World Records. All the participants were inspired and praised the efforts made toward rejuvenation of old archery skills.
The birth centenary of Naga Queen Padmabhushana Gaidinliu who despite being born in difficult and impassable forest, fought against the British for independence of our Nation and against the conversion, was celebrated throughout the country.
Around 500 swamiji, saadhu- santh- saadhvi participated in ‘Santh Sammelan’ organized in Tumakauru Siddhaganga Matt of Pujya Shree Shree Shivakumara Swamiji, as part of Golden Jubilee celebration of Vishwa Hindu Parishat. Speeches by swamijis and key note address by Pa Pu Sarasanghachalak were educative and provided insights about social issues and towards finding solution to them.
Around 300 delegates from 50 countries representing 73 old traditions of the world in 5th tri-annual International Conference and Gathering of Elders held in Nadamantapa of Shree Ganapati Sacchidananda Swamiji’s Ashram in Mysuru- the cultural city of Karnataka. The conference was organized on 1st to 4th of February by International Centre for Cultural Studies, an RSS inspired organization with the theme “Universal Wellbeing”. The inaugural address of Pujya Shree Ganapati Sacchidananda Swamiji and keynote address by Pujya Sarasanghachalak and the other activities inspired all the participants.
The International Yoga day celebration on 21 June 2015 is still fresh in everyone’s mind; millions of people participated in large number of places in many countries of the world and remembering Bharat for contribution to the world wellbeing.
1819 persons including 534 women from 673 villages of 15 districts participated workshop for Gramavikasa activists held for three days on June 12 to 14 in Prashanti Kuteera of Jigani Bengaluru. All felt the need for Gramotthana – progress of villages and got inspiration for this cause.
Our Swayamsevaks participated in large numbers in Svaccha Bharata Abhiyana activities, flood relief of Kashmir, earth quake relief in Nepal and many other calamity situations.
Senior sangh pracharak Shree Sitaram Kedilaya has started Bharat Parikrama Yatra – a walkathon on 9/8/2012 Janmashtami, with the intention to spread the message of ‘Upliftment of Villages for better future of Bharata’ among the populace. The Bharata Parikrama Yatra started from Kanyakumari and passed through villages of Kerala to Kashmir in north and then to Arunachal in east. Walking 10-15 KM every day stay in a village, planting a sapling, visiting religious places and seniors of the village, interaction with villagers, youth, children, public function etc are part of the itinerary of this journey. In three years after walking 18000KMs the yatra entered Bengal.

Vellore August 29, 2015: A private tourist bus with 37 passengers from Ernakulam to Tirupathi met with an accident near Ambur, Vellore District today morning. Swayamsevaks immediately went in rescue and co-ordinated to reach to their relatives, medical treatment and other services. A small boy died in that accident. Around 15 persons were admitted in Ambur General Hospital and 21 injured persons were admitted in Vellore General Hospital.
Nearly 50 RSS Swayamsevaks were in the relief work at Ambur and Vellore GH. Shri Raman, Vibhag Pracharak is co-ordinating the relief work. Shri Rajendran, RSS Kshetra Karyavah, Shree Jagadeesan, Sah Jilla Sanghachalak and few leaders of Parivar organizations also met the injured persons and rendering their support.
Hubballi September 01, 2015: ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had strongly condemned the murder of eminent scholar Dr MM Kalburgi and the organisation demanded earliest arrest of the culprits’ said Aravinda Rao Deshpande, RSS Pranth Karyavah of Karnataka Uttara.
“The news of assassination of eminent scholar Dr MM Kalburgi was heavily shocking. RSS condemns this assassination. Dr MM Kalburgi was an epitome of simplicity. He was known for his simple living and high thinking. We express deep condolences” said RSS Pranth Karyavah Aravind Rao Deshpande.

On Sunday of August 30th 2105, Dr MM Kalburgi was shot dead at his residence in Dharwad. Dr Malleshappa Madivalappa Kalburgi (28 November 1938 – 30 August 2015) was an Indian scholar of Vachana sahitya (Vachana literature) and academic who served as the Vice-Chancellor of Kannada University in Hampi. He was awarded the National Sahitya Akademi award in 2006 for Marga 4, a collection of his research articles. He was also a noted epigraphist of Kannada.

Portland, USA: Oregon is a city in NorthWest of USA. With 3 Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh shakas happening on a weekly basis. A Sanghik of 3 shakas was held to celebrate Rakshabandhan Utsav was between 2-30pm to 7-30 pm on Sunday August 30th at Rood Bridge Park, Hillsboro.
Rakshabandhan and summer Khel Meet of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Portland was held at rood bridge park, Hillsboro.
The afternoon started with ice-breaker game conducted by kishori Kumari Prajna. After which Sri VishwanathShetty, visiting from Bharath led laughing Yoga. From 3.30 to 5.00pm, there was khel (games) for Balaks, Sevika and Tarun Swayamsevaks separately. After a snack break regular Shakha was held between 5-30pm to 6-30 pm.
Total Sankya was 81, includes 23 Balaks and shishu , 30 Swayamsevaks, 28 sevikas on the occasion.
Utsav started with Veenaji Mukhya Shikshak welcoming all for Utsav followed by Dhwajarohan. Kids recited shlokas learnt in Shaka – Vakratundamahakaya, Karagrevasate, om Purnamadapoornamidam , Saraswatinamastubhyam and Sarvebavantusukinaha.
Following which G.S. Krishnamurtyji a Swayamsevak from Bengaluru (who works for Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh a Sangh affiliate organisation in the field of education) as chief guest tied the Rakhi to Bhagavadhwaj along with West coast Sambagh Sah-Karyavah Sri Krishnamurthy Woonnimani.
Smt Anita Pingale from Nagpur India, Sang Geet “Raksha Ka Yen Bandhan Bandhe, Hindu Tan Man ko” melodiously. A team of kids, the Balagana separated for planned activities for Balagana led by Devanshi/Ramesh Anantaiah, with Story session lead by Sri Krishnamurthyji Woonnimani.
Sri Sivaram Kondamudi, West Coast Sambhag Sampark Pramukh Who had come all the way from neighboring city Seattle to deliver Bhoudhik , explained the significance of Rakshabhandan,and exhorted all participants to protect Dharma so that it will protect us. Protecting Dharma means to follow strictly once’s duties to his family, his society and the world- Kutumba Dharma, Rastradharma and Vishwadharam. As Hindus we have the responsibility to bring peace and Harmony in the world. Let all of us to words achieving that goal.
Sri GSKrishnamurthy,in his address explained the greatness of Hindu Dharma and told that the world is eagerly looking at us. He quoted extensively from the book The American Vedas to illustrate his point.
After Rakshabandhan, and Prarthana, Dinner was served to everybody. Kids and elders alike everyone had a great time. It was nice to see Indians and next generation young Indian Americans coming together to preserve and promote our Hindu values and ethos.

नई दिल्ली. राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सह सरकार्यवाह दत्तात्रेय होसबले जी ने कहा कि संघ की समन्वय बैठक में विभिन्न विषयों पर चर्चा हुई, विचार-अनुभवों का आदान प्रदान हुआ. समाज जीवन में कार्य करने वाले कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपने अनुभव रखे, लोगों से मिले इनपुट दिए. इसी प्रकार राजनीतिक क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रहे संघ के स्वयंसेवक, देश की बागडोर संभाल रहे स्वयंसेवकों ने भी अपने अनुभव बताए कि कार्य कैसा चल रहा है, कैसा हो सकता है. यह स्वाभाविक प्रक्रिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि समन्वय चिंतन बैठक निर्णय लेने वाली बैठक नहीं है, न ही बैठक में सरकार की समीक्षा की गई. केवल विचारों, अनुभवों का आदान प्रदान हुआ. 14 माह के कार्यकाल में सरकार की दिशा सही है, लगन है, प्रतिबद्धता है, जनता में विश्वास उत्पन्न हुआ है, तो पूरा विश्वास है कि सही दिशा में आगे बढ़ेगा. देश में शासन सत्ता का महत्व है, इसे संघ भी मानता है, लेकिन देश में शासन किसका है, इससे संघ का कार्य नहीं चलता. संघ समाज की ताकत के आधार पर कार्य करता है.
सह सरकार्यवाह नई दिल्ली में समन्वय बैठक के तीसरे दिन प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित कर रहे थे. उन्होंने कहा कि संघ ने सरकार को कोई एजेंडा नहीं दिया है, न ही रिमोट कंट्रोल जैसी कोई बात है, सरकार जनता द्वारा प्रदत्त एजेंडे पर कार्य कर रही है. कांग्रेस द्वारा रिमोट कंट्रोल से सरकार चलाने के आरोपों पर कहा कि कांग्रेस क्या कहती है, संघ इस पर टिप्पणी नहीं करेगा. पर, रिमोट कंट्रोल से चलने वालों को सवाल उठाने का कोई नैतिक अधिकार नहीं है. उन्होंने कहा कि संघ के स्वयंसेवक देश के नागरिक हैं, संघ कोई गैर कानूनी संस्था नहीं है, सरकार के मंत्री जैसे अन्य स्थानों, कार्यक्रमों, समूहों, प्रेस वार्ता में अपनी बात रखते हैं, वैसे ही बात रखी. कहीं कोई गोपनीयता, नियम का उल्लंघन नहीं हुआ. मामले को बेवजह तूल दिया जा रहा है. बैठक काफी लाभकारी रही है, विभिन्न विषयों पर बैठक में चर्चा हुई.
दत्तात्रेय जी ने कहा कि आर्थिक विकास के समस्त मॉडल फेल हो चुके हैं, इसलिए बैठक में भारतीय विचार, चिंतन के आधार पर युगानुकूल मॉडल विकसित करने पर चर्चा हुई. जिससे आर्थिक विकास के साथ-साथ पर्यावरण संरक्षण भी हो. कमाई, पढ़ाई, दवाई के लिए ग्रामीण गांव से शहर की तरफ भाग रहे हैं, गांव के अंदर यह सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हों, इसे लेकर ग्राम विकास के अनुभवों का आदान प्रदान हुआ. देश में शिक्षा का भारतीयकरण हो, आधुनिकता को भी शामिल किया जाए, देश में शिक्षा के दायरे से कोई बाहर न रहे, साक्षरता दर को आने वाले वर्षों में 100 प्रतिशत तक कैसे पहुंचाया जाए, शिक्षा महंगी न हो, व्यावसायीकरण पर रोक लगे, तथा इसमें समाज, सामाजिक संस्थाओं की भी भागदारी हो, इसे लेकर चर्चा हुई. समाज का कमजोर दुर्बल वर्ग स्वाभिमानी हो, सभी की रोटी, कपड़ा, मकान की आवश्यकता पूरी हो, इसके लिए योजना बने, सेवा क्षेत्र में स्वयंसेवकों ने अपने कार्य अनुभव बताए, सरकार कैसे कर सकती है, इस विषय पर चर्चा हुई. हालांकि सभी को 100 प्रतिशत संतुष्ट करना संभव नहीं. उन्होंने बताया कि देश के सांस्कृतिक –ऐतिहासिक महत्व के स्थानों पर रखरखाव सही ढंग से हो, इस पर चर्चा हुई, जिससे विदेश से आने वाले पर्यटकों में सही संदेश जाए. उन्होंने कहा कि देश की आंतरिक-बाह्य सुरक्षा के मामले पर भी चर्चा हुई, संघ का स्वयंसेवक कार्यकर्ता विषय पर जागरूक रहता है, सरकार भी तंत्र को मजबूत करने के लिए शीघ्र कदम उठाए, समाज को भी जागरूक करने को लेकर भी चर्चा हुई.
उन्होंने कहा कि पड़ोसी देश हमसे ही कटकर अलग हुए हैं, हमारे भाई हैं. ऐसे सार्क देशों से संबंध अच्छे हों, सांस्कृतिक संबंध भी अच्छे हों. पाक के रवैये पर टिप्पणी करते हुए कहा कि कौरव और पांडव भी भाई थे, लेकिन धर्म की संस्थापना के लिए कुछ भी करना पड़ता है. राम मंदिर के विषय पर कहा कि संघ कोई कार्यक्रम तय नहीं करता है, संत धर्माचार्य, धर्म संसद ने निर्णय लिया है, संघ उसके अनुसार ही कार्य करता है, संघ का मानना है कि अयोध्या में राम मंदिर का निर्माण देश की आस्था, जनभावनाओं का केंद्र है. मामला वर्तमान में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में विचाराधीन है तथा सरकार अपने अनुसार सकारात्मक कार्य करेगी, ऐसा मानना है. धर्म आधारित जनगणना पर कहा कि आंकड़ों का अध्ययन नहीं किया है, विषय आया था जिस पर कार्यकर्ताओं की एक टीम बनाई गई है. कार्यकर्ता जनगणना आंकड़ों का अध्ययन कर रिपोर्ट तैयार करेंगे, जिसे रांची में होने वाली कार्यकारी मंडल की बैठक में चर्चा के लिए रखा जाएगा.
संघ की समन्वय बैठक 2 सितंबर से मध्यांचल भवन में शुरू हुई थी, जिसमें विभिन्न 15 संगठनों के 93 प्रमुख कार्यकर्ता तीन दिन तक उपस्थित रहे. 04 सितंबर को अंतिम दिन बैठक के अंतिम सत्र में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी भी उपस्थित रहे.

‘Various games and other competitions were organised for the children. Participation of Balak Swayamsevaks is all-time high’, said an organiser of the event.
Bengaluru September 6, 2015: RSS Swayamsewaks of Vidyapeetha Nagar of Banashankari organised a semi-medical camp in which Swayamsewaks distributed capsules and tonics for the residents of Manjunath Colony near Channammanakere Acchukattu in Bengaluru. The capsules and tonic distributed were related to anti-worm infections in human alimentary canal.
The event was organised as a part of Seva Sanghik.
After the distribution of Capsules and Tonic, Swayamsewaks organised Rakshabandhan program at the colony. Noted Physician Dr Shashidhar inaugurated the health camp. RSS Functionary Laksminarayan addressed on the occasion.
Nearly 250 residents of Manjunath Colony including children and women attended the semi-medical camp and Rakshabandhan Ceremony. The event was organised as a part of Seva Sanghik.

Hubballi September 07, 2015: Pledged to conserve the Cows from Trafficking and slaughtering, the members of Rashtra Sevika Samiti celebrated Rakshabandhan in a unique way by tying the Rakhi to the cows at Karuna Mandir Goushaala in Shiggaon Road near Hubballi, Karnataka.
After the Gou-pooja to the eldest cow of Goushaala, volunteers of Rashtra Sevika Samiti served fruits and sweet Paayasam to the cows of Goushaala. There were over 100 cows in the Goushaala which were safely rescued from trafficking and slaughtering.

The meet is organised by Prachar Vibhag of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Columnists from Maharastra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chattsgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Western Uttar Pradesh are taking part in this 2-day conclave.
