New Delhi/Nagpur/Bangalore Aug 15: Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated 68th Independence Day across the nation, swayamsevaks saluted the national flag wherever they attended the Independence Day ceremony.
RSS Sarasanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the national flag at Mohitewada maidan, at Mahal, Nagpur. Significantly, Mohitewada is the birth Place of RSS, where RSS was founded in 1925 by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the second RSS Swayamsevak to hoist national flag at Red Fort and to address the nation as Prime Minister after Atal Bihari Vajapeyee.
